Cycling is in my blood. I have always been competitive, you have to be in order to race and win. It also helps having grown up with two younger brothers who race bikes as well. Sibling rivalry pushes you to perform further.
THE YEAR AHEAD?
For the 2020 season I joined AG2R la Mondiale Pro Cycling. It’s been a pretty crazy year given the coronavirus crisis. The plan was to target the classics season with an eye for Roubaix in April, this all went out of the window with the whole Covid-19 situation and so for the majority of the spring, into summer there has only been training to complete. (Pro Bike Tool came in handy building my home gym and flatpack furniture in the house hahah)
There is light at the end of the tunnel, the provisional race program is suggesting we should have some races from August onwards, for myself a stage race in france then into the rescheduled Belgian and French classics. With Roubaix possibly been held in October this is road race of target for the year.
Aside from this, the World Championships taking place in Switzerland are a huge target for the time trial and mixed time trail selection, all fingers crossed they are going ahead.
